Ibrance dosage

I would like to know about everyone's Ibrance dosage. I am currently on 125, on my ninth month. I am extremely tired all of the time. Am curious about lowering dosage to see if that would help the side effects. However, I am very concerned about the effectiveness of Ibrance at a lower dose. Anyone have experience in these areas? Thank you in advance for your input.

Hi. I am on Ibrance 125mg for a year now. I to am always tired. I have thought about lowering the dose to 100, as I've heard from people on other boards that it's just as effective. My oncologist wants me on the full dose but if I felt strongly that I needed it lowered, I'd insist and I'm quite sure he would do it.

They lowered mine from 125 to 100mg much better. I've been on 100mg for 18 months. Still get tired at the end of cycle but better than 125 I was getting sick all the time and white blood cell count way down. On 100 mg wht. Blood cell count still down but only a little.

Good Morning. I was on 125 for two weeks. Took me off immediately following my first blood test. I am on my 13 cycle of Ibrance. My scans have all been good. To me, every month is different. My hair thinned. I have some nausea, sometimes, tired, sometimes, my counts are low, sometimes, but all has been tolerable. Best of luck to you.

I'm finishing my 9th month of 125, and side effects: tired, joint pains, hair loss, increasing neuropathy, hot flashes, digestive issues . There has been no suggestion of decreasing amount, I guess because my test result numbers and (cancer markers ) are staying steady, although still in the lowest range. I have a friend who has been on it for 2 years and her dosage has been reduced twice. Her markers etc. are still good but she still has similar side effects to me. . I have a bone scan and Ct scan coming up , which I hope will be clear. My opinion for myself is if the higher dosage is working, I'd rather live with these side effects rather than lower the dosage.

I hope this is helpful, I find survivor stories on this site to be helpful and let's me know I'm not alone. I have not found a support group that I feel comfortable at to attend in person. My good friend told me I'm just on a detour, and that's how I'm trying to look at my situation. Thank God for researchers, health professionals, and doctors!

I am on Ibrance 125 and Femera for 7 cycles. I’m starting my 8th cycle on Sunday. I have joint pain in my hands and neuropathy in my feet. I had that though prior to Ibrance. I eat fairly healthy and take turmeric, Vitamin D, omega 3, probiotics, calcium. I drink ginger tea and became a vegan. I actually feel pretty good.

I take 125 and have no problem with fatigue, 15 cycles so far. I know others have decreased their dosage and had good luck with both resolution of fatigue and continued progress toward health. My best to you!

I was on Ibrance for 9 months at 100mg and had to go off of it because it stopped working for me and my cancer spread

I am just finishing my 5th cycle of Ibrance and have not really had any side effects. I keep waiting but so far nothing. Sort of makes me wonder if its working or am i just fortunate. I had my first scan today to see how things are going and my anxiousness is off the charts. I am generally a pretty positive person but my tumor markers were up so of course I go to the dark side. Sorry for unloading. Anyway, I hope you find a dose that is effective for you and doesn't make you so tired. You and all the amazing women on this site are in my daily prayers.

I’m on my 5th cycle of 125. Thinning hair and joint pain but most definitely more tired.

I am starting my 19th cycle. I started out at 125 but have been on 100 for quite awhile. I am stable...but scans in March. I too thought it would'nt be as effective but it's not true.

Durangteg,

I am on lowest dosage of Ibrance, 75 mgs and it has brought my tumor markers down drastically. Just had Oncilogist appointment yesterday and he’s keeping me on this dosage.

I had been on highest dosage of Afinitor before this, and had an awful reaction during month 4, with lots of edema even going into the lining of my lung!

So I was switched to Ibrance with Letrozole, the lowest dosage, and so far so good. I do have lots of aches and pains but am tolerating it as best as possible.

Oh! My white BC is low even on this dosage, and I’ll soon be getting Procrit shots to get the level up. Am waiting for insurance approval.

I have tiredness, then energy in off/on spurts. Everyone’s different. I can’t believe you’re on 125 mgs of Ibrance for 9 months! No wonder you’re tired! If anything, I think I’ll be raised to 100 mgs in the future.

Yes, I think the 100 mgs would make you feel a little better, but I’m not a doctor.

I wish you good luck on this path that we’re all on.

You didn’t mention if the Ibrance @ 125 mgs was keeping you stable or if your markers are down. How is that going?

Best wishes always, Kats2

I just started my 10th cycle of Ibrance. First two weeks at 125 mg but then lowered to 100 mg as my wbc went too low. My recent scan done last week showed no progression with small amount of improvement in rib area. My wbc has stabilized at a level good enough to continue after 7 days off. Side effects have been tolerable. I am hopeful that the Ibrance will continue to work for me (and for all of us) for years to come! Best wishes. Geri

I was on Ibrance 125 for a month. But my WBC went so low doctor had me stay off 1 month. Then put me on 100mg. I have been on for 16 months and doing ok. WBC a little better.

When I took Ibrance and moved to 100 mgs, i felt dramatically better. Aside from exhaustion out of control, I had continual nose bleeds . I have a little of that with taxol but not dripping. When i went to to 100 mgs. that all cleared up.
