I have been on Ibrance 100 mg for about a year and a half. I take it for 21 days and get 14 days off so my blood counts can somewhat recover. The doctor said he was considering giving me 3 weeks off because the counts are still low. I mentioned considering lowering my dose to 75 mg and the doctor agrees that we could try that for the next cycle since I already have the 100 mg pills. Does anyone have any experience with dosage lowering?
Thanks!

I started out on the 125, then lowered to 100 mg but still continued to have neutropenia. My ANC would hold drop between 0.7-0.9. My doctor lowered it to the 75 mg dose. My ANC stays around 1.2-1.4 now. I have been on Ibrance/Letrozole since July 2015. Half of that time has been on the 75 mg dose.
That’s interesting and very reassuring to know that you’ve been in this combo for over 3 years..I hope I can be so lucky..early days for me..I’ve been on 100 mg dose for 5 months and having a scan next week to see if it’s working for me..it appears to work well for some but not all
I just lowered my Ibrance from 125mg to 100mg for the same reason white count got to low and ended up getting an infection. If the same thing happens on 100mg I will try 75mg.
Thanks for your response. I only had 2 cycles at 125mg and then reduced to 100mg for a dozen more. My doctor said that that the cumulative effect of the Ibrance causes the low counts. Good thing I mentioned the 75mg dosage because he was not aware of the option. He said there have been many studies regarding overdosing when not necessary.
I'm on the 100 mg. and asked to go down to the 75 mg. My Oncologist said no, since my blood counts were not "too" low. The side effects are pretty rough for me, adding to my RA pain. From everything I've read, lowering the dosage seems to have the same effect as the higher dosage!
