Ibrance and mood swings
I assume you’re also doing a hormone therapy with the Ibrance. Yes I usually have 2-3 days of being emotional, I think it’s a combination of medication and stress from this disease.
I do not, have taken this with Letrozole for a year now, but I think it is probably common. I imagine, as well, the whole reality of the disease brings with it a sadness.
I agree. Let yourself cry. The reality is that this thing sucks. I used to cry every week as I was sorting through all my pills and supplements, just thinking about it. But for the most part, I am very grateful for very few side effects from the Ibrance/Letrozole, and for a very kind and considerate new husband. Praying for all of us METS warriors...every day. Hang in ladies. Jana
After reading these replies, it finally dawned on me that of course the anti-estrogen drugs will effect mood!!! I take Anastrozole (Letrozole gave me a horrendous full body rash. ) Hang in there and make sure to let your doctor know how you're feeling. He/she may be able to help. Be good to yourself and let friends and family be there for you. And when you feel sad or cry remember that all of us mets sisters have all had their share of crying too.
I take Cymbalta 30 mg and it helped quite a bit.
