This is what my oncologist said to me when I last visited her on the first of december 2021.
I was diagnosed in may 2021 had sentinel biopsie diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer grade three, stage one. I have had the works 4 lots of chemo and three weeks of radiation now cared and free of cancer the oncologist says. I do my absolute best to believe it and like everybody else sometimes we loose that faith!
Anybody else out there in a similar situation, I love to hear from you. Thank you all.

Hi I have been discharged, they could not guarantee that it would not come back to me and gave me a phone number to ring if I have any concerns but no more treatment, tablets, yearly check ups. Feels good.
I was diagnosed in 2011 and it was ductal carcinoma 2 and half cm and in my lymph nodes so I had to have my left lymph nodes removed it was also grade 3. I had to have my margins cleared again, then 6 rounds of chemo and 2 full weeks of radiotherapy then I had tamoxifen for 5 years and letrozole for another 5 years. At the time I was more upset about the lymphedema in my left arm than anything else but they did refer me to a clinic that sorted it out with exercises. My father had non Hodgkin's lymphoma just under 3 years ago which was very aggressive and he unfortunately died within 6 months of having the diagnosis and could not tolerate the chemo as he had had a stroke previously. A friend of mine had lost his wife to breast cancer and at the time told me to accept whatever treatment they were offering, while I was well enough to tolerate it as his wife was not well enough for chemo at the end either. I am sounding morbid sorry but wishing you all the best and good news about your cancer that they have cleared it. Take care.
Whooowh that has been quite a scare for you, and great you are well now.I feel the same accept whatever treatment they are offering you….they have seen it all before!

GOD has given me 14 years with NED .I was diagnosed with Triple Negative stage ll MBC . My, then Oncologist said I would not live to see 2008😇. Merry Christmas to you, and all our our Sister/warriors/Thrivers, and Over-comers in the fight to eradicate this disease Amen!!!🙏😇

Hi, Glad to hear it! I had the same diagnosis as you, TNBC, stage 1, no lymph node involvement, can't remember the grade, but same treatment. I was diagnosed in 2019. They said I might have had a tiny bit of cells left in the margin but the radiation should take care of it so I did that first and then the chemo (adjusted for my age). No more treatment thankfully. As the months went by, my memory now seems a bit more fragmented, not sure if it was the chemo, though the stress of covid restrictions hasn't helped along with helping care for my elderly father (now 102!) Physically I feel fine, went back to the gym recently, fully tripe vaccinated, cautious about omicron variant, but hey that's life now. I do worry about recurrence since Triple negative can be aggressive. But that seems to be the lot of many cancer survivors. Just don't let it occupy much of your psyche. There are groups that address the after-treatment concerns, but haven't really looked into it.I wish I could be more positive but at 69, I'm also a realist.

I received three counselling sessions which helped me. Friends are great for getting you to the treatments etc. But after a while their live goes on which would be the same for me if I was in their shoes!
I wish you all the very best. I understand that triple negative usually does not return after between 3 and 5 years, which is not like the other breastcancers that can come back and back…..kind regards.
