State one breast cancer

Diagnosed with stage one invasive introduction breast cancer. Surgery planned but I am very anxious. Surgery in 6 weeks. It scares me to have to wait that long. How long do stage one cancer patients generally have to wait for surgery.

Welcome to share! It really depends on how long people wait for surgery. You can be confident that your surgeon wouldn't have you wait if they were overly concerned. Did they give any reason for the wait? I was also stage 1. I was diagnosed on April 25, 2013 and had my surgery on May 15. I actually delayed it one week so I didn't have to spend my Mother's Day recovering from a mastectomy.

The delay is to find day to do it where both surgeons will be there. Is at Barnes in St. Louis. I fiqure I need to just trust them as they are experts but my mental thoughts on it are running me crazy. Thanks so much for sharing. Did you have any treatment other than surgery?

It's hard to learn to trust the medical team you've chosen but try to remind yourself that you chose them for a reason--they're qualified and you feel comfortable with them. I also had chemo after surgery--4 rounds of cytoxin and taxatere over 3 months. When they do the surgery, they will probably do an oncotype test on the mass. This tests the tissue and will help them determine what, if any, follow-up treatment you might need: chemo, radiation or both.

Sister/Warrior I was misdiagnosed for almost a year with stage ll DCIS triple negative cancer. I had 10 lymph nodes effected by cancer, and was given around a year to live. I am still here as a testimony to Gods modern day miracles, with( NED) No Evidence of Disease almost 9 years now. Ooops the medical doctors made a mistake,but not Dr.God . Every time you get anxious talk to God (pray). Think of the wonderful memories that make you smile or laugh out loud. Also visualize cancer cells being destroyed,whether you are kicking punching stomping or running them over .Turn fear into F-I-G-H-T. I pray for God's restoration/healing in your body/temple. Amen

Greetings: Sister(s)/warrior(s) I have not had any medical/hospital treatment for almost 10 years for my diagnosis of DCIS 10 lymph nodes cancer affected, metastatic breast cancer. I am as of 2017 NED, and I do believe LORD/GOD delivered me from this disease. Almost 9 years ago I was told by a not so nice Oncologist on at least at 3 occasions that I would not live to see 2009, so I began to prepare for my physical death. I prayed that when I got up to the pearly gates of heaven my Lord, and Savior would welcome me and, say come in good and faithful servant. I do not consider myself a survivor, but I do consider myself an over-comer. I got rid of that not so nice Oncologist, and for the last 8 years I have had an angel Oncology Dr. I am due for my, now yearly test that I have to request from my angel Dr.. He has a great persona/ bed side manner. Now that I can only see my Dr. once a year, when I do see him we always greet each other with a hug, and a smile. I now know he is God sent. I do pray that my previously ,not so nice oncology doctor who lacked all of the great qualities my present Dr. Oncologist has would find God and, joy in his life. I know it is selfish of me, and not realistic, but I always pray my current Dr. Oncologist will never retire . Sometimes I have to remind myself how blessed, and grateful I truly am. Keep the faith Sister(s). Live, love,and enjoy this , mostly smooth, and beautiful, journey, but sometimes challenging bumpy journey. I am always doing everything in my power to fight to eradicate this disease. Gods continued blessings my sister(s)/warriors. XoXoXoXoXo

I am meds as well. I have sure a hard time not thinking if this awful disease. I am a strong believer in god, I try to block the devil out of my mind. I'm so happy for you, you give me hope to overcome this disease. My onc is great as well, we didn't get along at first now we really do. He only has positive things to say. I still take falsodex and xgeve. I take scans every three months. I think that's what make me feel the way i do. I know God has healed my body, why worry? Can u give me any advice on how to stay focused? I also still work full time. I have bone mets only. Thank you and God bless you!

Sister/Warrior : God can, and will watch to see what we will do when we are faced with challenges in our lives , and use these problems to test the strength of our/your faith. The devil will place challenges in our/your path, in the hope that it will cause us to lose faith in our almighty God. Remember the great creator of this universe, God surely has control, and power over, cancer, and any problem you may experience along this life journey. Don't give up or give in to dark principalities. Don't let cancer or the devil win. By Gods grace, mercy and, the blood Jesus shed, you are a victor, an over-comer, and yesssssssssss an heir to the throne. Sister take your rightful place . If you start to feel negative emotions, replace it with some of the greatest, and most blessed times God has allowed you to experience during this journey, especially LOL= Laugh Out Loud moments. Recite the Serenity prayer. I like to read Psalms, and Proverbs. I also watch funny you tube, and inspirational post sent by my friend who has some physical limitations. If you need counseling seek counseling from your pastor or other sources outside of your church . Keep positive people around you, and cut ties with anybody that is not adding joy to your life. Let praise, and prayer be in your mouth. It does work. Keep the faith no matter what. At different points in my life when I was/have been faced with burdens, I have used the aforementioned ways to overcome my problems. Remember the ultimate sacrifice Jesus experienced, and remember all of the struggles Job encountered. Sister I pray for your super natural healing . XoXoXoXo
