16 years free from RLS due to NA

I had posted a question on Helmenthic therapy Facebook page and this is one of the replies ⬇️

Thanks to NA, I've been free from RLS for the past 16 years, except for one brief period when I lost my colony, so I know what a joy it is to be free from restless legs.😊

I have had others say 5 and 6 years.

I meet a lady who used to own a NA clinic in Australia and she said NA for Sibo and RLS was the core of her business until TGA in Australia shut them all down in 2022.

My 3 rd inoculation is any-day now I’m just awaiting for them to arrive.

I have also made the L- Reutire yogurt and I will start it tomorrow night.

I thought you might like to know !

That is fantastic news Shumbah.Have you been able to reduce/stop Buprenorphine?

I had 3 weeks with no buprenophine

Once my dose is high enough it will sit steady.everyone is different with their dose.

It’s important to wean on.

Admittedly I am taking the cautious approach on only going to 6 NA for my next inoculation most people would jump to 10 NA.

Because I have had no side effects only really good effects I don’t want to risk jumping to higher dose to soon.

Hello ShumbahI really appreciate the time and effort you spent informing me about Helminthic treatment. I have given it serious consideration but feel at this point I just cannot begin the treatment. I find the thought quite repugnant for me. I am glad it is working so well for you and I hope it continues to help you.i wish you the very best, but it’s not for me, regrettably.

Very best wishes

Gillian

I can understand your reluctance to embrace helminthic therapy, but if you were to read more about it, I think you would find that the repugnance would dissipate. The organisms used are essentially just multi-cellular "probiotics" and there are no worms visible at any stage of the treatment. So it's nowhere near as challenging as one's imagination might suggest, and here's some info that could help.

I have had RLS for well over 55 years although back then they didn't have a name for it. I have been on ropinirole since 2008. I would love to be RLS free. What is NA and how does it work?

I’m sorry it’s a bit much for me to retype it all with the links .

I think I have done about 3 posts on Helmenthic therapy with NA and my journey.

NA stands for Necator americanus, a species of human hookworm that is being trialled as a treatment for various autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. It's one of four helminth species that are safe at the dosages being used, and there's more about this at the following link.

There's also a page on that site that's dedicated to the use of the therapy to treat RLS.

I’m just wondering if you had any GI tests in the past, like gastroscopy, colonoscopy, microbiome test, endocapsule etc. I strogly belive that in most cases RLS is a cause of GI disorders and the NA treatment might cure that GI issue.

Im certain it is gut related , Dr William Davies says RLS peeps all have Sibo.

What leas me down this path

I was hospitalised with Sepsis (even though emergency doctor told me it was only a buzz word and that i wont have Sepsis.

Within days of starting strong IV antibiotics I had no RLS or my nightly horrendous night asthma.

The antibiotic course was 5 months

The remission of RLS and Asthma lasted 6 months . I had no side effects only these 2 good ones.

That says to me it was killing off something in the gut that has taken over along with killing more good microbes.

Your experience reinforces my belief that, for many people, the cause of RLS can be traced back to bacterial factors. I’ll soon repeat the microbiome test I had done years ago to see if the pathogenic bacteria I’ve been fighting are still present in my gut flora.
