Hold on a moment, why is iron so low? 19.7 what? How is your hemoglobin and hemocrit? We’re you supplementing at all prior to the test?
A normal serum iron level for adults is 60–170 micrograms per deciliter (mcg/dL).
This is equivalent to 10.74–30.43 micromoles per liter (micromol/L)
So I guess if you are micromole/L, your are ok, but if it mcg/dL, You should see a Hematologist. Being from the other side the pond, I only ever see mcg/dL.
Good luck ,please keep us posted.
