Iron Result

Invited recently for a routine Blood Test I asked the GP ( not my normal) if at the same time my Serum Ferritin could be done having briefly explained the connection between RLS/PLMD and Iron. I was particularly interested because on 9 th Sept. I took my last dose of 56mg Iron Bisclycinate on alternate nights having to accept this was the probable cause of regular unpleasant Stomach aches, well surprise surprise my result came back at 397ug/l I assume this indicates that I`m one of the 40% for whom iron makes no difference, strangely enough ( to me anyway) there were several abnormals noted including Red Blood Cell Count at 3.94, normal quoted as 4.50-5.50. Incidently just out of interest my RLS has over the last few years morphed completely into PLMD untreated (Codeine, Kratom or very occasional.25mg Rop.) this violent leg jerking will start between 9- 10pm and can go on all night, Cattle Prod behind the Knees every 12/15 seconds, what fun. Thanks for reading.
