Anti y

I got prescribed Mirtazapine for mild depression and intermittent insomnia. My RLS flared up like never before! Is there an alternative anti depressant that won't do this?

Can you also take this opportunity to educate your GP surgery.Direct them to RLS-UK AND NICE cks guidance which make it clear that SNRI, SSRI & tri cyclical anti depressants worsen RLS.

For insomnia, there are better treatments. Even pregabalin/gabapentin would be more suitable as they help RLS as well.

And medical cannabis is great for insomnia, but it's not free. You have to use a UK private clinic.
