Anti-inflammatory milk

Hi

I've just read an article on goats' milk at draxe.com

It states that goats' milk causes less inflammation than cows' milk. It contains less cholesterol and is very good for anyone with gut problems. It says that it helps with the uptake of magnesium and iron. Apparently sheeps milk is even better.

But what type of cholesterol there is more than one! as they run in pairs so have to be in balance just like magnesium it's pair is Calcium everything in the body has a pair! in the same way as electric has live/neutral +/-

cows milk is meant to "ball" in your stomach? but these days so much cack in products no telling what things do in our bodies!

Goats milk probably absorbs easier much in the same way as with hard water and soft water when washing etc soft mixes things easy

Have you tried chickens milk?

Bulls milk is meant to have lot's of protein?

Animal milk and cheese are unnecessary for adults and their proteins cause many health problems as does meat. Http://nutritionfacts.org

Hi

I tried the PETA vegan challenge for 8 months. I list 10lb in 10 days which was great for me. I felt very healthy for a while, then I had terrible pains in all of my bones for 3 days even when lying down. I put it down to not eating meat. I had a steak and within hours I was okay again. There was no advice on the 'challenge' about lack of B12. I don't like the dairy industry but I'm nervous about having another go. I'll read your link. Thanks

You should have enough B12 reserves for 3-4 years. Nutritional yeast or supplement necessary thereafter. Veggies, fruit, nuts, nut milks, are not enough. Half of dinner plate should be starch -- potatoes, beans, grains... Sometimes toxins build up in body fat and are released as you lose weight. Another good resource is drmcdougall.com

Missing in a Vegan/non red meat diet is L Carnitine essential for muscles esp when young for growth also non meat iron isn't right for our bodies causes issues

Meat eaters get too much iron and are encouraged to donate blood to reduce the iron load. It is true that carnitine (or more absorabable L carnitine) is important for muscle function. Humans, like other animals, manufacture sufficient carnitine in the liver from essential amino acids. As a result carnitine is often referred to as a conditional essential nutrient. One in 40,000 children are born with a defective gene that prevents transport of carnitine to the muscles. They manufacture sufficient carnitine but most does not get to the muscles. Eating more meat does not help them, but supplementing with carnitine does. However, both meat and carnitine supplements for the rest of us causes our guts to manufacture the toxin TMAO (trimethylamine-n-oxide) which is implicated in cancer and heart disease. So what should one spread on there toast?

tom137 in reply to

Improving health by transitioning to a plant-based diet is not an all or nothing consideration. The gods will let you have your butter on your toast if you reduce total intake of meat and dairy. The more you reduce the better will be your health and the impact on the environment.

However, should you accept the challenge, you can put any of the following on your whole grain toast: hummus, avocado, nut butters such as peanut and almond along with honey or jam, low sugar jam, olive tapenade, pepper jelly.

Hi

I've been going through the nutritionfacts.org site and I am going back to a mostly plant based diet. Good for Alhzeimers as well which seem to run in my family. Thanks for getting me back on the horse.

The gods, lower case g, is a figure of speech. Only God, capital G would eat your flip flops.
