Update: HRT and RLS/PLMD

A while ago I wrote here that I was struggling more than usual with my RLS/PLMD, I was at breaking point and thought this was likely brought on by HRT. Many of you responded with advice and experiences and I want to take the time to say thanks, all your comments gave me a balanced view.

Despite initially thinking I should come off of HRT and change my medications to treat RLS/PLMD I've stayed with both as they were when I initially called out for help in this group. Although everything worsened, things did eventually start to calm down. I'm still not back to how it was prior to going on to HRT but I'm no where as bad. My head is a lot clearer too - sleep helps!

This is all to say I think sometimes our bodies don't like change and it may take them time to adjust, longer than most. And, if you're starting HRT, give it time. It took several months before it settled for me and there's no harm in changing or adjusting medications to help with RLS in the meantime.

I wanted to share this happy update because sometime we need the good news when dealing with this condition.

And, again, thanks everyone! Couldn't of made it through with you.

Great to have the feed back..

And the good advice-- to allow new medication time to settle in, and let the body cope with new adjustments.

Hoping all goes well with you here on our.👍☘️
