My local CVS pharmacy told me they didn't have methadone and that their supplier was out of stock. I had to drive over 1/2 an hour to another CVS which did have the drug. I tried calling the local Rite Aid, Walgreens and the pharmacy in the Giant supermarket and they all told me the same thing about the difficulty getting methadone. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Also, no one told me it would cause impotence!

Can you get it by Mail Order? Cvs is not out of stock by mail order.
So, your neurologist or other dr. has to agree to 90 days (although it would probably work with 30 also, just a hassle to receive it every 30 through the mail) and then I would contact CVS to find out if your insurance would cover it. I get it through the mail order pharmacy program with my insurance.
I get it from CVS through the mail. But is is the insurance company’s mail order pharmacy program that contracts with CVS.
can you message me?
our local cvs does not carry it. (Pharmacist choice we were told). However the nearby Walgreens has it so my hubby goes there.
Where are you? I'm in NJ and used methadone for 2 years, had no trouble, even got a refill on vacation once. I'm sorry you're stuck!
I'm in Pennsylvania and not only has the local CVS told me they're having a problem getting it but I've tried all the other pharmacy chains along with the smaller independent pharmacies. The smaller independent pharmacies have told me that they can't take any more methadone patients because their suppliers have told them not to do so.
