I am not surprised at the out come of this study a regarding RLS and dementia , it is the one thing we absolutely dread.

I mean what do they expect not sleeping has always been a form of torture, and they al, treat us as if we make it up.

There should be a protocol put in place that everyone who walk through a doctors door with RLS should first do a sleep study so they can see the suffering of their fellow human . Then treat them with the compassion and understanding we deserve.

I know before Buprenorphine I would have rather had cancer than RLS because you have more of a chance of beating cancer than this disease because some may not so medical professionals treat is like it’s not a real disease with life threatening consequences .

On that note a young 27 year old male , I have just mange’s to get him onto Subutex with doctors words astonishing results. One thing I made him follow through with proportion to our initial doctors appointment was a thorough sleep study , and bullet point aloe the horrible harsh drugs and side effects s if he has had taken them. And bullet point on the impact on his life , work he had not worked or driven a car for one year and has 2 little ones and had to give up a brilliant job in border security.

GP said taking these steps was so very helpful and gave him the power to actually give him a week trail on Subutex there and then .

After that success he had to go through drug clinic which I also hav to go through to get his reply.

He now has his life back.

Thank God for Switzerland assisted dying laws , that’s where I will head when the time is right.

Subutex is just a trade name for a medicine based on buprenorphine so it is only dealing with the symptoms of rls and not the cause. The link between RLS and Dementia is that they both share the same cause i.e. consumption of refined carbohydrates.

I totally understand. The other day I was wishing that every doctor, physicians assistant, politician, regulator (looking at you DEA) that has an ignorant view of RLS and our treatment could spend a week suffering like most of us do.
