Hi,has anyone tried the little therapulse machine

I've looked at reviews on trust pilot and it's got really good reviews!!

Also how many people with restless legs have conditions like cervical spinal stenosis or spondylosis

There seems to be a school of thought that back or neck conditions play a major role RLS.

Allyp69 bought one & said it's working for her. At £50 it might be worth a punt to see if it helps you.

I imagine it works by 'distraction'.

Message Ally and see if it's still helping her RLS. If they do Money Back guarantees, even better.

If you can't get feedback here, I see that TheraPulse say when bought from them it can be returned "if unsatisfied at any time in the first 14 days for a 100% refund." 14 days isn't long, but at £39.95 plus postage (£2.95 second class) direct from Therapulse I might risk it if my RLS was not otherwise controllable. It's apparently also available from some pharmacies at £49.99, but whether or not they offer a money back guarantee....

I think I'll risk it!

My severe RLS is in my feet. It is usually helped by oxycodone but sometimes it plays up as you can imagine ( I've tried every medicine for the dreaded disease )

I've just emailed the company to ask where to place the device and waiting for their reply.

I'd never heard of therapulse.

Yes bought one Therapulse a month or so ago...really helping my RLS. It's not a cure for me but the vibrations do stop RLS after use ..lasts a day or two but I tend to use it every evening on each calf for about 10 minutes. I won't take prescription drugs for RLS after reading about awful side effects, augmentation etc.

I have been using therapulse for 6 months and I find they are such a help for "distracting" your legs.

when I bought them they were about

£30 each and a discount if you bought more than one.

as soon as my legs start I get up and strap one to each thigh. You can walk about with them on. I then go back to bed with them on and fall asleep with them going.

re your other comment. I have developed really painful osteoarthritis in my neck. I have put it down to the fact that for years my neck has been shaken about so much at night when my legs are bad over 40 years of suffering.

Yes I do , I have Cervical Spondylosis/Stenosis with impingement at C4 and I also have multiple prolapse discs in my Lumber with narrowing which pinches the nerves and causes sciatica both sides I have severe RLS and nerve damage I have been having a Guided Caudal Epidural for the last 4 years it is meant to be every 6 months however the last one I had in October this year was 14 months after the previous because of the sheer volume of patients within the Chronic pain team, I also has a nerve block in my Cervical area for the impingement in my neck however this was unsuccessful my pain consultant arranged for me to have further updated MRI scans on both Lumber and Cervical he then referred me to the Spinal consultant for to look at surgery to help with the impingement and sciatica I was seen and they point blank refused to do any surgical intervention without any explanation which I found very upsetting because I can no longer sit fir any period of time without standing up neither can I lay down to sleep I currently have between 2 and 4 hours if I am lucky as the RLS kicks in, as soon as I sit down to relax or sleep my legs jump constantly and I occasionally have experienced it in my arms too I am on Ropinole for this but have decreased from 1mg to .500 since I found out it can make RLS worse in the long Term, I also have Osteoarthritis in all my joints and I am 12 weeks post surgery from a total knee replacement, tomorrow I am having my left foot operated on they did my right foot a year and a half ago, I am on several medications,Tramadol ,Nefopam, Duloxetine for my depression as with chronic pain comes depression and anxiety I have just gone up on my Zopiclone which is a sleeping tablet In the hope I can get a few hours of sleep consecutively to no avail the spinal surgeons were my last hope to release the impingement in my neck and also in my Lumber spine I know this is possible but I received a 4 line reply from my appointment refusing to intervene with surgery and just redirecting me back to the Chronic Pain Consultant for more injections in the spine which do nothing for the sciatica to say I am at my wits end is an understatement I have contemplated ending my life as I have no quality of life I am 61 and the only reason I haven’t is because I have 6 grandchildren and 3 grown up children and to leave them with that legacy of misery would be wicked , I am back in physio with hydrotherapy and also acupuncture for the impingement in my neck but it doesn’t help so here I am just like thousands of others with a total miserable existence and I feel very let down now by the consultants who I know are so overwhelmed with patients but it seems they just don’t care anymore.

Hi, I'm really really sorry to hear how much you're suffering and the complete lack of support your receiving from the so called "experts"!Have you considered a low dose of oxycodone? I honestly believe it would help you tremendously.
