I've just learned of a center in Colorado that does this surgery and seemingly from all the youtube videos it has great success. I have been chatting with a woman who had it done approximately 3-4 weeks ago and she says she has 90% improvement. Anyone heard of the surgery?

Has anyone heard of or know anyone who has had nerve tunnel decompression surgery on legs for RLS?
i am going to center for veins having my veins collapse where blood will go to a different vein i have one more surgery left and yes it seems to help my rls
Do you have peripheral neuropathy? Your surgery sounds a little bit different but I am glad this has helped you! I wish you the best. What part of the country are you in?
varicose veins where they inject your vein with a chemical and it will collapse veinI'm in US
thanks
Oh, that's a completely different type of surgery than what I have recently discover is being done in Colorado at the Anderson Podiatry Center... this doctor does nerve tunnel decompression. Best of luck to you!
Are they doing a tarsal tunnel release?
At this time I am not having any surgery done; I was only inquiring as to whether anyone else has had nerve tunnel decompression done and if so if it helped. I am unaware of a tarsal tunnel release but if you want to go to their website you might inquire. Anderson Podiatry Center in Colorado.
I had the surgery done by that clinic in 2000 on both legs. It may have helped a tiny bit at first but not after a month or two.
Asquiva, thank you for sharing that. That is my fear as well. I'm going to stay in touch with the woman who had it about a month ago and says she has 90% relief and see how she how condition is at maybe the 2,4 and 6 month intervals. One thing I don't know because I haven't talked with the clinic; was the ultrasound done as a diagnostic tool to determine if you were or were not a candidate for the surgery?
Yes they used an ultrasound.
Thank you for the reply. I discussed the procedure with my neurologist and of course he said to stay away from it but he doesn't give me any particular reasons other than RLS is a brain barrier disease and there may be a small percentage of people who are helped by the nerve tunnel decompression but according to my neurologist my nerves are fine.
Are your Ferritin and other iron levels as required for RLS? Ferritin should be >100 and nearer 200 for best relief. Are you taking any other medication or product that may aggravate your RLS?. My symptoms were classed as Refractory or Severe. I am taking Buprenorphine sub-lingual 200mcg x3. Some nights 200mcg x 2 is sufficient.
I’ve been very interested in it to me and my husband are checking into it since I’ve had this for a lifetime and have gone through everything else that you can possibly think of from medication‘s to contraptions😩
