Hi Topaz,Interesting, yes I had heard about operations to cure knee pain resulting in nerve decompression in the knee which cured RLS.
The nerves in the legs run down into the feet and toes too. There could be several points of pressure on them. Could this perhaps be why wearing barefoot shoes has improved my symptoms. Barefoot shoes typically have a wide toe box, flexible soles and no heel. My feet have much more room and are less constrained.
Perhaps someone will find out one day.

Certainly a cause of secondary RLS. Certainly being checked for nerve compression, especially if at higher risk ie diabetic or with loss of sensation on feet(hands) sounds like it should be part of the work up. I will add it.
