I have noticed that using an electric heating pad helps me. When RLS starts in front of the TV in the evening I put my bare feet on the warm pad and it stops instantly. I don't need to get up and walk. In bed I put it between my knees for comfort.
It's worth a try!

Just like kcambridge heat makes my RLS much worse. We are all so different. Cold works better for me and I now have a problem in that I have developed neuropathy in my feet. This requires me to keep feet warm. However, walking helps both conditions but you can get very tired!!!! No easy answer. Glad to hear heat helps all you other sufferers.
Same here Jelbea. I've had Peripheral Neuropathy for many years now and have no feeling in my feet and lower legs. Apart from the vicious RLS that is. Heat makes it worse which is unfortunate since it's summer here in Australia. I can't walk much, and I'm having trouble finding someone to prescribe the low dose opioid which I believe would be the answer to all this misery for me. As we all say - whatever works for you.
