I posted this a long time ago. After trying everything, and nothing working, I reluctantly tried CBD oil with .3% THC. It works !
Btw - alcohol makes my RLS unbearable. If I drink even one drink, even my CBD oil with .3%THC won’t help.

Delighted it helps. I’m on CBD with 20% THC & it helps me sleep for 3/4 hours. I still need other meds though as the dastardly RLS breaks through after that 3/4 hrs.
Just to clarify-- is that 0.3% THC?
@Jools-- is that really 20%-? that sounds like a huge difference between the two!!
And where do you each procure it!?😎
Yep 20% THC. The UK gov legalised medical marijuana & it became available in September.
I signed up for the clinical ‘Registry’ & received 100ml of the oil at a subsidised cost. It’s £150 & at first I thought I was supposed to take 3ml a night! I was wrong- the dose is 0.3ml per night so the oil will last 300 nights. That’s 50p a night.
However- it really helps with sleep but doesn’t stop breakthrough RLS.
I suspect the 0.3% is the CBD you can buy on the internet with hardly any ‘psychoactive’ properties. Mine is Medical Marijuana- the normal CBD oil didn’t do anything & is very expensive.
The oil I take is 33% THC but I still have to supplement it with 200 mg of tramadol at bedtime. But the oil controls it during the daytime.
Whippetmama, thank you for sharing your experience with the CBD oil. I live in a state in the US that doesn't legalize marijuana. But it sounds like you get your CBD oil with THC in it. Can you tell me where I can get what you use? I need help. My RLS is controlled to a point, but I still suffer during the daytime (and, no, I'm not augmenting...lol). I just can't find anything that really controls it. Thank you in advance for your help!
I live in Mexico, so unless you vacation here, I can't help. Sorry. Eventually, the states where it isn't legal are going to look around themselves at all the lost revenue and come to their senses. By the way, last year rhe Mexican Supreme Court said that the laws prohibiting the use if cannabis were illegal. The Senate just passed the regulations for it's use and it goes now to the lower house where it's passage is expected to be just a formality.
Hi! I live in the States too. I get my CBD (all CBD has trace amounts of THC) from Lazarus Naturals online. I didn’t like the oil so I use the capsules. I take 75mg 2 hrs before bed and it stops my RLS 90% of the time. The 10% is because I can’t get to sleep right away, but even then it’s really really mild. Anytime you start CBD or THC be sure to start out with lower doses and work your way up. Lazarus gives 60% discounts to Military, Vets and low income. Hope this helps.
LanaCSR, I’m also in the States(NJ). Where are you? If you are near a State where recreational cannabis is legal you could buy CBD with higher THC concentrate there. I’ve done that in MA and CA. Higher THC doesn’t work for me but as you see everyone is different. NJ just voted to make recreational cannabis legal this past Election Day as did a few other states.
Really? I live in South Carolina and I'm not sure which states are legal, but it seems like every state except mine...hahaha! How can you buy it from a nearby state? I thought they weren't allowed to sell to states who aren't selling it legally yet.
You are in the UK ? How do I sign up pls
Here’s the link. I qualify automatically as I have Multiple Sclerosis as well but I know others with RLS who have been prescribed it. Ask for pain neurologist & stress it’s similar to pain & you need it for sleep.
