Hello.
This is my first post, but I’ve been lurking for a while & can only thank you beautiful people for the knowledge and personal experiences that you so kindly share with people like myself.
I’ve been suffering with RLS for many years ( I am 44 yrs old female.) I actually didn’t know that my condition had a name! I’ve suffered through horrendous nights, flights, cinema trips and road trips for far too long, until I came across this website where I found out that, for some people, magnesium helps with RLS. At this point I also need to add that my symptoms were ( alarmingly!) spreading to my arms and hands.
So, I followed your advice and commenced myself on generic magnesium supplements taken at night ( 30mins before I fall asleep.) My goodness, they work!! Like by magic, the god awful fizzing/ creeping sensations were gone along with electric spasms and the constant need to move and stretch my legs, arms and feet. Truly, no one would ever understand the misery of this condition until they experience it for themselves, not that I wish it on anyone else.
The question that I have is, seeing that magnesium helped almost immediately, does this mean that my RLS was caused by magnesium deficiency, or is there another reason for this (seemingly) miracle symptoms cure?
Thank you very much in advance.
Warmly,
Patricia.
