I have had RLS for 20 years and tries pramipexole which worked at first then stopped working, often making me feel really nauseous as well. I have tried magnesium tablets and magnesium spray with no results.
I recently bought the following from amazon uk and within 24 hours my RLS has 95% gone. Such a relief. I hope this may help someone in the UK
Some magnesium works for some people. I know someone who has great relief from a magnesium spray which does nothing for me. I take magnesium biglyncinate tablets (two before bed) but for cramps and these are very successful for that but I dont think they help the RLS much. I used to take some other form of magnesium tablets and they made the RLS worse. Its a bit confusing.
In Australia you can get the magnesium tablets I use, Ethical Nutrients Magnesium Biglycinate at Chemist Warehouse. ONe of my daughters finds that the Mg biglycinate works well for her RLS most of the time.
It all seems very personal so you just have to keep trying things but it can get expensive. I have a drawer full of supplements that I should throw away!
I have been taking daily Magnesium tablets for the past 3 years as I read that Magnesium supplements are beneficial..I am 73. I can't say that they have stopped my RLS but reducing alcohol, sugar, sweeteners etc has helped. I still wear copper bracelets at night if I notice RLS...and these do work for me. But very pleased if Magnesium works for you...better for you than some other prescribed medication that can have side effects. 😊
My RLS was with me as soon as I sat down , could be 11 in the morning in fact being in bed relieved it somewhat which I gather is an unusual thing. Strange thing is I have tried magnesium for a long while with no difference so I don't know what's different about the product that has worked for me so far.
What exactly did you use? You said you tried magnesium tablets and spray but they didn’t work? What did you use? In the post I received you don’t mention what it us that took your RLS 95% away. I’m desperate. I have the spray and I take a gel capsule of magnesium, but they don’t do anyhing for my RLS, I use the capsule only because it’s good for other things. Glad it worked for you.
That’s super. I’m planning to ask my somnologist about magnesium supplements because the gel I’m using is giving me 4-7 hours of sleep and if I daub on a little during the day, my Parkinsons internal tremors calm right away. Your experience is very encouraging.
