Me too. I’ve been using the 3 mg patches for about a year now, during which time I’ve put on a stone.
I wasn’t overweight to start with so that’s not particularly a problem, but it will be if I keep raiding the fridge.
I did decide to do something about it a little while ago.
I found a four week long eating plan in a magazine which was designed to make you lose a stone over that period.
I didn’t work though, which was my fault I admit.
Because although I could honestly say that I stuck to the diet, by the end of week two, I had reached week four’s
menu.
One of he risks of taking a dopamine agonist is that you can develop an Impulse Control Disorder, (ICD).
You need to be aware of this
ICDs can take the form of
Compulsive eating
Gambling
Compulsive shopping
Hypersexuality
Hopefully your binge eating won't get too serious. If it were, you mgiht have to stop the Neupro.
Unfortunately ICDs caused by a dopamine agonist don't necessarily disappear when you stop taking the dopamine agonist and furthermore, anybody who's developed an ICD is more at risk of suffering DAWS (Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome).
I'm not suggesting anything, nor do I wish to be the harbinger of doom, but I just think you need to be aware of this.
Munch on raw veggies only (not avocado!), and get your husband to hide the snacks. When people are eating dessert, eat fruit first. Serve the veggies first at meals, only serve other food when the veggies are eaten. Brush your teeth after meals. That's my only dieting advice.
My hubby takes the biscuit tin to bed with him - not in the bed obviously coz that would be weird.
He even takes the jar of chocolate oval tine in as well otherwise I’d be drinking it like it was going out of fashion!
I’m so craving sugar when I don’t sleep I’ve even resorted to crackers with butter (flora) and jam on.
Oh I’ve got lots of healthy snacks as well and eat some of them but it’s sugar I crave.
For over a year now I’ve been on a weight loss journey and have lost over seven stone but have started to put weight back on all because of these stupid drugs. It’s maddening but I’m trying not to get in my own head too much.
