I know this is not particularly RLS related but I have just watched a film on SKY called EDIE. OH MY WORD what a fabulous film! Absolutely awesome, please watch it, it shows how age should never limit what you can do. My hubby and I love Scotland and if you like hiking, love mountains, respect the elderly, then this is the film for you, honestly watch it.

EDIE, played by Sheila Hancock ( one of the greatest British Actors we have), is once again inspirational in this film. There is so much trash and filth on the tv and big screen lately it was a pleasure to watch a truly heart moving film. We don’t need filth and foul language, we need culture, respect, and honesty.
Well it’s life related and I haven’t given up on that at all so I actually appreciate you taking the time to inform me of this movie and I will make a point of watching it so thank you very much!
You are quite correct, please forgive my spelling of the Mount in question. Yes it’s a beautiful area I have been fortunate to pass through a few times. My husband has hiked this area too. Which is why we chose to watch this film.
The character EDIE (name of the film too) wants to climb this mountain after her husband dies. It’s a lovely film, with great acting and the best views.
Sheila Hancock (EDIE) did actually climb the mountain for real and that really inspired me.
Never heard of it before, so thanks for raising awareness, it looks a steep climb, did she need climbing gear? I couldn’t manage half of Pendle Hill a few weeks ago and that’s a walking climb and just under 2000 feet!
Maybe I should try that now I’ve got my potassium full legs back!! Lol
Hubby said its tougher than Pendle Hill, but no climbing gear required. A fit, confident, regular hiker would do it in about 7 to 8 hours he reckons. It's a tough hike but it's not a Munro and if Sheila Hancock could do it at her age (with company) then although a challenge, with a bit of company its very do-able.
