Blood test levels
It all depends on what "iron" is tested and what other tests are carried out to check that RLS symptoms aren'r due to something else.
A serum iron test result is "normal" if the following are found
iron: 60 to 170 mcg/dL
transferrin saturation: 25 percent to 35 percent
total iron binding capacity (TIBC): 240 to 450 mcg/dL
A Haemoglobin test (for iron deficiency anaemia) is "normal" if the following levels are found
For men, 13.5 to 17.5 grams per deciliter.
For women, 12.0 to 15.5 grams per deciliter.
"Normal" Ferritin levels
20 to 500 micrograms per Liter in men
20 to 200 micrograms per Liter in women
ALL these can be "normal" for someone with RLS
However
A Ferritin level of less than 50mcg/L in someone with RLS is consdered LOW (even though it.s normal for anyone else).
A ferritin level greater than 100mcg/L is desirable for RLS.
Magnesium : some cases of RLS are associated with Magnesium deficiency.
The normal range for blood magnesium level is 1.7 to 2.2 mg/dL
Magnesium may help with RLS even if levels are "normal",
Other blood tests that may be carried out for RLS are Renal function, Thyroid function and Diabetes
There are a lot of values, if any are abnormal, then it may cause RLS symptoms.
My apologies I can't help you on that one. Maybe try asking your gp
