Has anyone tried a combination of trazadone and pregibalin for rls

I’m on Pregabalin and OxyContin. I am sure there are people on here who are taking both pregabalin and Trazodone. Is your RLS under control?

Yes and no,have had rls for a long time, was under controll when I was a cannabis smoker, but I no longer do that mainly because it is illegal down here (NZ).After years of silent suffering went to my Doc and he seemed informed about RLS, has put me on Ropinirol, now 2 to 3 mg a night, works ok as long as I take it before it sets in witch can be quite early sometimes,then it makes it worse, also worried about all this bad things I have read about it, also am on tramadol, 150 mg a day for other pain, witch I think also helps as long as I take my last dose before 6 pm. The thing with Ropinirol is I'll sleep for about 2 hours an then wake up every hour after that but the Rls not to bad if I take early enoughf or some times it happens anyway then I am walking around and around the house agitated to hell, but I think of what I have read on this sight their are a lot of people worse off than me, I didn't realize how prolific it was until I read this sight, tonight not so good as it is now 5am NZ time and still not asleep, any way sorry for the waffle.

Interesting Rod. I suspect you are suffering Augmentation on Ropinirole. Look it up on here. New maximum dose of Ropinirole is 1mg.

I was on 2mg and symptoms started earlier in day and moved to arms. Like you I would wake every 2 hours at night and take .5- 1.mg every few hours.

I reduced dose by 0.5mg every 2 weeks and went through withdrawal in 2016.

Tramadol helps during withdrawal and then I switched to OxyContin and pregabalin.

Cannabis is illegal here in UK as well but I used it to help withdrawal symptoms.

Read as many posts on Augmentation as you can and go to the RLS UK homepage snd watch the video on Augmentation by Dr Early.

Hope you can get off Ropinirole and find a combination of tramadol and pregabalin that will help.

Yeah will come off it if doc puts me on pregibalin, hopefully won't be to hard to come off Ropinirol
