I’ve had RLS for many years. My wife and I were brainstorming and nailed down the area where the RLS seemed to originate. Consulted with our doctor and gave a prescription to our formulating pharmacist. He put together 200mg lidocaine suppositories and they did the job. I believe he used lidocaine powder.

Lidocaine Suppositories
How long have you been using them?
Glad you got relief.
I’ve been using them about ten years now.
Are you using these suppositories on a everynight basis. Wondering if effectiveness might lessen with regular usage. I am interested in this idea since I'm tryin to come off pramipexole for rls and nerve/leg pain.
I use them nightly along with pramipexole
Just a clarification - I take a very low dose of pramipexole for the nightly urge to move legs (which works) but a side effect produces nerve ache/pain that radiates to lower back/legs keeping me awake. Working now on a solution for this after trying lots of pain medications/supplements. Hoping to get off of pramipexole entirely.
You mention in reply to Rwick that you use them nightly along with Pramipexole. Pramipexole is a dopamine agonist used to treat RLS. Didn't the pramipexole stop the RLS?
Hi ArtisMagic
Have you tried them without combining them with Pramipexole?
Best,
Dim.
Yeah I'd be interested in that, also do you find that there is any change your urinating habits after taking the suppositories?
None
