I am 84 years old and had RLS for more years than wanted to. A nurse friend told me to take Magnesium Maleate orally.I saw no difference. One night I took 10-12 tablets.put in a coffee cup, put in the microwave
melted them and after cooling massaged my legs and bingo the sensation stopped. I have tried this for more than a week and it still works.I make no promises but if one soul is helped, thank God.

Sounds intriguing! I tend to get the rls sensations in my buttocks, which then radiate down my legs, so I'm not sure where I'd administer the mixture. Still it's worth a try.
And an even cheaper way is to buu epsom salt (very cheap) and mix half-half with clean water to dissolve it. Put mixture in spray bottle and use. A kg of epsom salt this way lasts ‘forever’.
Can you please tell me more about the Epsom salts? Wondering what is in them that makes it work. Sounds like a good idea! Just want to learn more! Thanks so much!
Epsom salts is magnesium sulphate. I think its the magnesium that's supposed to do the good. Apparently it helps many muscle problems and some RLS It will cost about AUD2 per kilogram in large bags so its a very cheap thing to try. Maybe AUD5 in small bags. A handful to a basin or a bathtub is recommended but I have seen that you should test it on a bit of sensitive skin first to make sure you don't have a bad reaction.
It can make your skin tingle/sting at first if your not used to it. I take it for migraines every day and it works wonders as a preventative. It doesn’t prevent my restless legs but if I already have them and spray it on then this usually gets rid of it in under 20 minutes. Doesn’t work for everyone however but worth a try.
