I am wondering if anyone has restless feet. I don’t have a problem with restless legs. I have to prop my feet up so my heels won’t touch a surface. The heels of my feet sometimes feel like their is something crawling in the them. It’s just uncomfortable. I take neurontin for this. I also have fibromyalgia.

Restless Feet
I have RLS, on good days its just my feet, but sometimes it is full on legs, arms and torso. I have used all the usual drugs and am now in what they call "refractory RLS". My only options to sleep are opioids or cannabis.
Yes I have RLS sensations in my left foot sometimes but never by itself, it's always at the same time as my restless legs x
Hi. My partner's RLS started in his calves and hips, but over time, it's moved to his feet at night (and is milder in his calves).
He says his feet get very hot at night and feel swollen. I rub them in the mornings and they feel hard- swollen. He relieves his feet of the heat by popping them out from under the quilt/sheet.
He's not on medication for his RLS either although it was diagnosed in a UCL study as "severe". Instead, he takes Folic Acid and Iron tablets at night and Vit C, Vit D (cod liver oil) and B complex during the day. It's tamed the effects of RLS enough so he sleeps better.
He also tries (but fails sometimes) to steer clear of wheat, coffee and chocolate after 2pm. He's found that reduces the symptoms a little too.
Yes, definitely have restless feet, sometimes on their own, sometimes along with legs, arms, shoulders. My Mum had RLS as well. She would have been 94 now. No one really knew what it was in these days and her name for it was 'fidgety feet' which was a real nuisance for her in theatres, cinemas, cars etc ( also for me ). I had no idea what she was going through then, she didn't complain and I thought it was just some sort of funny quirk. I remember her fidgeting from when she was around 40 or so. For me seems to affect feet especially in the evening when it is starting for the evening and night.
My effect me mainly when I lie down and also at night when I sit and watch tv
My partner’s feet play up in the early hours of the morning from about 1am- 4am. They just heat up- no crawling sensations. He used to have the crawling sensations in his calves but after 13 years it has reduced a little and the emphasise now is his feet. Odd...
Remember when you were young and some visiting cranky old aunt/uncle thought it was funny to tickle the soles of your feet? That's what my RLS is like, at other times I could swear I'm plugged into a mains electricity socket. Fortunately it's controlled with a 3mg Neupro patch coupled with Gabapentin before bedtime. Best wishes to fellow-sufferers unable to find a medication that suits them.
