Restless Legs Relief

I just read about putting Dove soap on my restless legs a few days ago on another website and I tried it and it works wonders! I rub a dry bar of Dove soap all over my legs and feet and leave it on and go to sleep. I don't know how it works but it does! So glad I don't have to take pills for this.

Hi mguinm, I hope the soap continues to help you. We have postings about this on the forum every so often. It does not appear to work for long for those that try it. In acual fact I tried it once in desperation and it worked for one night. I put it down to fluke and chided myself for even beginning to think it would be the answer. There appears to be no one rule for those suffering with RLS unfortunately but if it works for you, for whatever reason, great.

Oh darn! Well I guess all good things come to an end. So far it seems to be working. There was only one time where it didn't work as it should have. I'll keep you posted.

Magnesium does work long term so thank goodness for that.

Hi again mguinm,

Yes, magnesium can work well.

Magnesium Oil Spray used on the legs can be beneficial to some sufferers too - this is available from larger pharmacies or health food stores. Check with your doctor before you start using this product.

I've been using the Ancient Minerals Magesium oil for about a month now....not seeing much difference....

Hmmmm...... So strange. What works for one person like a charm does nothing for another. Sorry your oil didn't work as you wanted it to.

A physician claimed that it is the glycerin in the soap but did not work for me . Good for you

Hi, there -

I am wondering if you are still having good results rubbing a dry bar of Dove soap on y our legs. Does it really help calm your legs down ?

I thought I would try my luck with it.

Please respond !

It worked for 5 days and stopped but then that could be because I ran out of magnesium pills (250 mg) for a few days and I was really in a bad state with my RLS. I've been taking 500mg of magnesium now and I've had such a good sleep with that I haven't had to use the Dove soap again. But next time I do get that restless urge I'll try it once more.
