Does anyone take anti-depressants for PD. My dr. wants me to start, but I am 63 and have been battling PD for 22 yrs. without anti-depressants?

Not sure what PD is. If it's a shorter version of PLMD then be very careful with anti depressants as most make it worse. Trazodone is safe for RLS & PLMD.

If you have RLS or PLMD, anti depressants are not first line treatments.

Good luck

Hi fordy, did you mean PD as in Parkinson’s Disease? And have you accidently posted on the wrong forum? This one is on RLS.

Hi fordy,

I note you have posted on the Parkinson's Movement community at the same time as here regarding anti depressants. I take it you are asking users here about taking anti depressants if they have PD as well as RLS?
