HI, Jools, there is another med that was specifically licensed for RLS, and it is Horizant, in the states even though it was an epic fail financially for them. And, in the states, I know that The dopamine meds were not MADE for RLS, but technically they they are now licensed and approved for RLS since 2007. Technically they are Parkinson's meds, but after many studies, a lot of what was found to be 'tainted' (as in the results) they were officially approved for RLS by the FDA.
But, having said that, I am always interested in the Targinact posts, since it is the newest thing. They are also using it for other conditions, anything that can require an opiate. We talk a lot about it in the Chronic Pain Network, since they have unleashed the war on drugs in the US.
Nightdancer, is that about the British pharma dropping out the reason why Horizant never made it in the EU? Do you know? Or, if it wasn’t, what other reason is behind it?
Being a really good person - I think that's the first time I've seen that posted. Will try it from tomorrow.
I'm really pleased that targinact is working for you. It is scary when one seems to be running out of meds to try. I presume that you have also dallied with raising your serum ferritin levels.
