I’m still surviving......got CBD capsules, but am not sure how to take them. Could some of you who are more knowledgeable please give me some ideas about dosage and when I should take them? Thanks in advance!

I was about to try CBD, but after a bit of research found that they are incompatible with so many conditions and contra to so many other medications that I have given up on them. If you have a heart condition or on beta blockers have a good look at the contras listed for CBD. Also their side effects seem as bad as coming off Mirpex.

Many thanks for your reply, Mafopp5....after reading what you wrote, I read more and found out that what I bought was hemp SEED oil, not hemp oil. And I don’t believe I’ll try the “real thing “!

I'd love to see a source for where CBD is contraindicated in health conditions and a list of its side-effects please.

Hi. I take 3 x 50mg capsules about 3/4 of an hour before bed. I have not noticed any side effects. I don't take them every day- i rotate them with other things. Good luck.x

I would be very wary with this one. Dosage on these are very scary please speak to your GP about this because I am concerned this could lead to other things...

Thanks for your concern, chris1993....turns out that what I got was hemp seed oil, not hemp oil......I’m going to steer clear of the “real thing”......I’ve got enough trouble already!,

It can open up a serious can of worms... just be cautious with RLS there is no specific treatment with the help of your gp a good persistent one you will get there!

Hi, CBD is fairly safe. Get from a reputable source with 3rd party testing. My father takes methadone for RLS for 8 years 12.5mg daily and is down to around 3mg daily with good results for sleep/RLS/general aches and pains, he is 70yo.

We have familial RLS 4 generations. The methadone works great for him no tolerance but he didn't like to have to take it.

He takes a hemp derived CBD tincture from a company in Colorado USA that has 3rd party test results for each batch on the website.

Within a month or two he hopes to use this CBD as his sole treatment for RLS.

There is a pharmaceutical co. In phase 2 testing of a CBD/gabapentin combo drug for RLS using a chewable gum as the delivery mechanism.

Are you from the UK or US? The UK does not license it specifically so it could be captured under the legal high legislation

in reply tochris1993

No it isn't psychoactive so the 2016 NPS legislation doesn't cover it, (nor the most dangerous harmful drugs alcohol and nicotine).

Hi Patmac

This is in response to your question about CBD. I have found that a single dosage of less than 15mg of actual CBD doesn't have much effect read the label on your capsules usually capsules only have 1-5 mg of CBD. i have also researched CBD and would like specifics from the ones who have said it is as bad as coming off of Mirapex or is contraindicated for many conditions? Since CBD has had the psychoactive element (THC) removed my research has shown it to be of great benefit for a myriad of health concerns

You can take CBD at any point during the day or night. During the day especially if I am on a road trip it really helps. I also take it in the middle of the night to be able to go back to sleep I have found that the concentrated oil from CBD Plus is a great source

Again, no disrespect for anyone. I would just like actual documentation of ill effects of CBD.

Thanks, Lolly53! That was very helpful.......don’t know if you saw my post about having bought hemp SEED oil, rather than CBD. Will check into sources for CBD.
