Hi,

I'm on Lexapro/Escitalopram, which is supposed to make RLS worse. Unfortunately, I think very few anitdepressants are "safe" (they don't exacerbate it). If you go to rlshelp.org and click on RLS medical alert card in the center of the page you will find a list of "unsafe" meds. and "safe" alternatives.

The only 2 antidepressants which are definitely safe and won't worsen RLS are Wellbutrin (not available in the UK) and Trazadone. X

About eight years ago I was on Venlafaxine, yes it did worsen my RLS somewhat, and coming off it was a nightmare with reflux so bad I almost ended up having my gall-bladder removed (I went to a medical herbalist instead and he sorted me out).
