Hello. I'm a newbie. I've been experiencing all over body restlessness for a bit but wasn't sure what was happening? I have FMS, CFS, Chronic Back & Hip pain & Anxiety.
Glad I found this site: Hello. I'm a... - Restless Legs Syn...
Glad I found this site
Have you experienced a feeling of crawling/ pulling in your limbs that is unbearable and that is relieved by movement? If so, then it's likely to be RLS. Not sure if what you are describing is RLS. Do you think you have RLS?
Are you on any meds?
I do feel pulliing and at times crawling all over but mostly in my limbs. Usually from early evening & all night.
As madlegs states- meds could be the cause. What meds are you on?
Periodically vicodine and xanax as needed. I cannot tolerate any medications "prescriped" for fibro. I have chemicsl reactions, highly sensitive.
The Vicodin should help with RLS. Do you take any anti histamine or anti depressants as they can cause RLS.
I do take claritin
claritin is one of the only ones that is alright for rls. Try taking the vicodine at low doses on a regular basis to see if it calms the restlessness. Certain foods like sugar, chocolate and alcohol and caffeine can make it worse.
If you are unable to sleep at night because of it you should go back to your GP and first get blood tests to check your serum ferritin ( needs to be over 100). There are several meds that can help like pregabalin or Horizant ( I take it you are in the USA as we don't have vicodin over here) which is only available in the States.
Hope you find an understsnding doctor who can help you find the right meds to control your all body RLS.
Take Care
If you are on any medications for that barrage of afflictions- then I suspect that one of them could be causing problems.
What are you on and at what dose?
Just saying hi, Joolsg and Madlegs1 have you well covered I'd definitely check food, drugs and supplements, I'd skip the Clarityn for a bit to see if that helps.
Sounds like you are in a similar boat to me you poor decrepit wreck There are forums on here specifically for the fibro:
