Good luck.
Why so bad just now?
What meds have you been taking up to now.
Triggers??
Hiya I'm on ropinrole but doc wants me to stop as he is prescribing amitriplene for ibs I'm on outher mess to so sick of taken tablets just seen a physio for legs as my calf tighten up and I can barely move and they bulge out and go rock hard. but she sed it's off my back been to bed and I'm back up with legs π΄ X
Amitryptoline is a renowned trigger for RLS for most people. If your troubles are coincident to taking the Ami , then that's your answer.
Taking 200 to 400 gms of magnesium citrate might help the legs relax a bit. Worth a try for a few weeks.
Cheers.
I have had RLS for years not bad now I use to climb the walls some nights walking in the garden at night try to have a little walk in the evening I take 2 pramipexole and 2 codeine about 8 .30 pm before you go to bed all the best I no what you are going through Tony x
Julie,
So very sorry. I'm exhausted too. Very tired of being very tired I was constantly up and down all night when I went through Augmentation on Pramipexole. It's better now (meaning I can lie down), but it was total despair for a long while. Have you tried rosemary oil to mentally wake yourself up? I carry some around in my purse, so that when I start to mentally collapse and fog up I take it out and sniff it in and rub some under my nose. It helps clear my head.
I just got Epsom salts myself. How do you plan to use yours? Footbath?
Take care,
Hi Jess,
Magnesium citrate up to 450mg every night works for us for relief from RLS. We even get a good night sleep due to the magensium. Epsom salts are a form of magnesium but at a very low dose. The RDA for magnesium is 340mg for women for maintenance. Increase the magnesium until you get either relief from rls or "very loose stools". Magnesium is vital for normal functioning of the muscles and nervous system so dont be put off.
Best wishes
Nope, it won't work. You have RLS and need to get a prescription.
