RLS EASED WITH A BAR OF SOAP
It didn't work for me.

There are many past postings on this topic, sometimes weekly, but unfortunately going by replies, very few RLS sufferers find any benefit at all from the bar of soap under the sheet.
No harm in trying though, one can always use the soap in the bathroom.
How does bar soap help mmmmmm
There is no science behind this, that i can promise. But, as has been said, cannot hurt to try. I did years ago. Did not do a thing.
Not sure I bother I need help not gimmicks but it is what it is This. Week it's returned I have had three bad nights I take 20mg of amitriptyline but fear my body used to it so app with GP to increase if possible so can't go back to no sleep And and fear of bedtime It seems there is no help or cure
Hi Hudson,
Amitriptyline is one of the medications to avoid for the vast majority of RLS sufferers as it makes symptoms much worse . You may well be in the minority but if your RLS is worsening perhaps you should come off the amitriptyline and try something else....
I now remember that I have had a conversation with you regarding amitriptyline in another posting.
I say nonsense to that cause still suffering not funny as people i kno had a laugh at that .
I tried the bar of soap and it didn't help me at all. I just can't figure out how it can help and thought it a bit strange but tried it anyway but with no results. Percocet helps me the best and I have tried almost all the meds for RLS over the past 30 years
What's to lose? Why not try everything presented here? REALLY ! What do we have to lose - our RLS?
I AM trying the soap bit. Also apple cider vinegar, honey, water 3x daily. All kinds of vitamins, minerals. Tried pantyhose. Mirapex has worked, mostly, for 20 years - but maybe it's also killing me. I don't really need to know how something works. (And I'm an engineer!!) These suggestions are offered here by honest (and desperate) folks who are also suffering! I will go on the opinions of others and MAYBE just MAYBE, they know something that I don't. This is often how new discoveries are made. Nothing is nonsense! I met a woman on the street last week and she mentioned the vinegar for her RLS - so what's the harm. AND maybe it is working -- or maybe it's the placebo effect. I DON'T CARE - IF just maybe IT WORKS. AND maybe only for a week, a month, or a year. One day at a time here. 23 years in AA and my recovery is maybe not your recovery -- or maybe it is just a little bit.
Let's all welcome EVERY suggestion (and EVERY fellow sufferer) and each try what they wish. MAYBE just MAYBE there is a little miracle waiting for us.
Hi Adulargy I am a sufferer of restless legs for 30 odd years both legs and arms without meditation you may shot me but about 4 months agoI got a got a bar of soap in the post , have to say it had me bemused after reading the card which was from my wonderful daughter in law it said that if someone gifted you a bar of soap and it is kept in the bed it helps restless legs!!!!!! I can honestly say it has helped me , my long suffering husband has noticed the good nights sleep I have been getting mind you I still take my medication and I still can feel them but not nearly as bad 😀
I did try this too but sadly for me no joy! Am fortunate at the moment that Pramipexole and codeine are working for me at night.
