Can iron pills cause a burning sensation in the skin?

I have been taking iron pills for three days now, and I'm noticing a burning sensation in my skin. It's not constant, just comes and goes.

(Also b12 deficient, but haven't noticed the burning skin until starting the iron pills)

Did you ever find out what was causing the burning? I have the same problem, but cant figure out why. Did it go away?
