RLS in arms and legs

Can anyone describe what RLS feels like to them in their arms? I just wondered how others feel. I wanted to know if my feelings are like others. I think it's worse in my arms I can't stand that it drives me crazy when my arms bother me.

When i get a severe pain ep in my whole body i cant keep still in any part except my arms...unlike the pain in my legs where i cant keep still when it's in my arms and hands it actually hurts more to move them...its a dull ache like a bad flu whereas the pain in my legs is like someone giving me a chinese burn from the inside...

Yep- same as Artsy- a tingling feeling starting in fingers and then tkes over whole arm. Not painful but excruciatingly tingly and overpowering and rapidly spreads all over body until I am convulsing with the shakes- then it disappears and starts all over again.

Such fun😈

Have you ever had this feeling go through your arms then it feels like it jumps from your finger tips to the top of your legs then it leaves your toes to jump back to the top of your arms that is the strangest feeling like a lightening bolt goes through and jumps one to the other. I wouldn't want anyone to feel that it's so weird.

Hi, I do get it in my hands and arms, seems to be related to being over tired, but then I occasionally wake in the night already moving my arms. It seems to start in my hands and just feels like an aching urge that makes my head say move them! It's not painful but if I don't move its like I will go mad. It always seems to be in both arms, whereas my legs can be either or both, so weird.

Hope this helps but everyone seems different

When I get it in my arms it is a little different to the feelings in my legs. Still the urge to move feeling but with a deep seated ache as well which is don't get with the leg sensations, When it is in my arms I normally resemble a windmill ...lol Pippins2 x

I'm not sure I can describe what I feel , but I do get it sometimes in my arms when I don't take my meds right on time. If I go past an hr after the due time, THEN I'm in trouble because I get it all over but the worst is in the arms and legs. The feeling in the arms is different from the legs, I don't have pain in either but the arms get so restless I feel like I need to box, as in boxing, or I have to swing them in big circles , do calisthenics , anything that is a strong jerking movement till my med kicks in. It's like a severe anxiety attack in the arms. I'm not sure this helped but that's the best I can think if to explain the feeling. It's like a charley horse without the pain. I'm curious to see how others explain it.

I do the same thing it's like I need to box and try to stretch my arms as far as I can to try to get relief. If I don't take my medicine on time If I'm off and hour from my meds I'm in trouble. Plus if I eat to late or eat to heavy even if I take my medicine I know that I will be up walking the floors and that makes me so tired. I understand how you feel thank you that helped me.

rls has to be the most miserably ailment i have ever experienced or tried to explain how it feels. johannasuar and twitchytwichylegs explains it as well as can explained. i affects me the very way as it does them. i believe that was the reason for taking the doctors so long to realize that it truly was a medical problem. i don't know whether by trial and error by cutting out certain meds. i was taking that i think pipps or some one told me could worsen rls in some people or it was finally after i started taking Duloxetine that the rls hardly ever hits me any more. artsy we just tell one another what we have found out about our specific conditions and go from there. you might want to talk to dr before you try any of our recommendations. hope you can get some relief from rls.
