Hi just wondering if anyone gets the same feeling in there arms as well as there legs because I do.
I he's to only get RLS of a night time now I get it at anytime of day or night, but for the last six or seven months I've been getting the same feelings in my arms just wanted to know if anyone's got the same feelings.
I take two antidepressants a week, didn't realize they could make rls worse. Think I'll come off them now gradually. Low dose anyway. I only took them for a few months to get back on the road after an accident with a lorry. They gave me the confidence to drive again.
Yes rls can be in arms. I have 2 different meds. 1 for legs and 1 for arms as they seem to need diff. Ones. They work tho and I have no trouble as long as I keep taking meds on time. Hope this helps you.
Yes I get it in my arms too but only at night, thought I was imagining it. Have you tried Magnesium, B12, D and iron suppliments, they are fantastic, I'm much better than I was. Are you at menopausal age?
If on dopamine agonists like Ropinirole, pramipexole or mirapex, they can cause Augmentation. This is where RLS becomes more intense, starts earlier in day and moves to arms, trunk and face.
Are you on any dopamine agonists for your RLS? Examples are Mirapex ( Pramipexole ) ,Requip ( Ropinerole ) and Neupro patch as they can cause augmentation, 2 signs of augmentation are symptoms spreading into other body parts most commonly the arms and symptoms starting earlier in the day
Ha ha typing same thing at the same time Jools. We are the augmentation police lol
Yes, I get it in my arms, especially at the top, shoulders and back. i didn't before I took Pregabalin. Don't know if that is coincidence or not. As others will tell you, do make sure you aren't taking any other medicines for another condition which can increase the intensity and extent of RLS
I get it in my arms all the time. It was the worst when I was augmenting in Ropinerole, however I have seen a difference in arm symptoms depending on if I am taking iron supplements too. Have you had your ferritin levels checked. My iron count was normal but my ferritin levels were very low and iron supplements have helped.
Hi l get it in my arms legs hands.Thats when you know its really bad .like so many l have read here l have suffered most of my life l am now 69 .At the moment l am going off sifrol which l had been taking for 9 years unfortunately it carries some terrible side affects. I had got to the state where it was making me worse augamentation l think its called.Oh my lord is that bad l was in such a state l truly didnt think l could handle it.l am now seeing a specialist who is trying me on a combination of tablets to try and get the mix right only a moderate amount of success at the moment l am taking pregabalin 150 mg twice a day ,madopar 125 three times a day ,Rivotril 500 half twice a day and a cream l rub on the bottom of my feet twice a day it has chillies in it and l believe it is used for diabetics and shingles so its obviously a nerve thing its called zostrix.like l said moderate success l am cutting down the sifrol which the specialist said could take 12 months as it has to be a very slow presedure as the withdrawal from them is quiet bad as well.Thats where lm at at the moment .
