does anyone get muscle cramps when taking Neupro Patches

I have been on the Neupro patch for 7months 3mg ROTIGOTINE which does help to alleviate but not cure RLS .Recently I have developed the most awful muscle cramps at night .These cramps are not listed as a aside effect so I wondered if anyone else experienced these cramps on this medication or could they be attributed to something else?

I have muscle spasms which are part of the rls. I have them in my arms as well as my legs and when I have a bad bout they are excrutiating

What do you do about your muscle spasms? Part of my RLS is constant throbbing pain that only goes away with movement, but comes back again as soon as movement stops. The only thing I've found so far that gets rid of it is tramadol.

I used to suffer from horrendous calf cramps, but they've gone now as I eat a couple of bananas every day -muscle cramps nearly always connected with lack of potassium. Mine were unconnected to my RLS. Good luck !

Thanks Dangermouse I'll try your remedy and let you know if it works for me.I'M crying out with the awful pain 0f calf cramps..AT first I thought it was Sciatica but the doctor ruled that out and recommended Isotonic drinks which I think might make the RLS worse because of the caffeine content but I'm going to give it a go. SO here's hoping.

If/when that doesn't work, I think you should ask your doctor for tramadol. The first time I took it, within 15 minutes I could literally feel a wave of comfort washing over my legs and for the first time in a long time they actually felt normal. Whatever it takes, I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck!

ookla, I have the constant throbbing pain but the muscle spasms are the worst. I take slow release ropinirole of 4mg at midday and then 2mg at about 4.30pm which so far seems to do the trick. Hope you get better.
