Bright light: Light adding into a banging... - Ramsays Disease
Bright light
Constant shades down or slow reactions with changes a different response along each line. More detail if you feel safer messaging.
Avoiding light but sunglasses when you cannot.
Wide brim hat also covers up hair which is as lifeless as I am.
Avoid sunlight, Close your eyes, Wear dark glasses, Darken the room
Thanks everyone
late replying to this. I have curtains instead of shades on the largest of my windows and I am constantly having to open or close them, which adds to my overexertion load.
I wear a very soft foam sleep mask when I want to nap or just close my eyes every few hours and rest from everything. This has proven to be excellent at helping me stop before I get to the point of severe pain reactions to overdoing it. I find it hard to read the signals. If I stop at predetermined intervals and put the sleep mask on and lie nearly flat for a min. 10 min rest, it does help my eyes and my level of endurance.
I hate not being able to get the benefit of the sun. I find in the mornings I usually can't have all the curtains open until the slant of the light is away from me completely.
Even at night, sometimes I have to play with different combinations of lights on as others are just too bright for me. You can also turn down the brightness on your computer and tv if you need to... as well as tablets, etc. I try to avoid my phone screen as it is the one that really makes my eyes start to blur and feel tired. I am learning a little at a time, how much bright white background online I can handle, how much dark background as well. I shut the tab if it is making my eyes blur and hurt. I try to notice as soon as something bothers me.
I have lenses in my glasses that automatically darken some with bright light. I have found this to be quite helpful, especially in summer.
Hope you are finding ways to handle it.
