Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or ME - A Name Change To Ramsays Disease
Patients have long sought a change CFS they say belittles their suffering.
Some groups already use - myalgic encephalomyelitis, or ME.
The medical profession have consistently rejected that option, saying not all patients have the muscle pain and brain or spinal cord inflammation that medical jargon reflects.
It is proposed naming the condition eponymously after Dr Melvin Ramsay that worked on the condition after the 1955 outbreak at the Royal Free Hospital, London
