Dear all, I have now not had a smoke for 2 days. I have been completely irritable, have headaches, and chest pain that comes and goes. Just want to know if it is the withdrawals? An for those that have kicked the habit, is it worth it cause I feel worse now than when I smoked!

Hi, I would say probably its because you've quit, when we stop anything that we regularly ingested ie: coffee, soda,we get a withdrawl due to not having the chemical or chemicals. However if you are worried about your chest pain do go and see a doctor just to be safe.
And yes as one who has stopped and re-started and is in the throws of stopping again..YES IT IS WORTH IT..for your health ,your wealth and more i think for your mental wellbeing..it just takes time to get all the crap out,to get used to it..just as it did when we started smoking.
STICK WITH IT ..otherwise you will end up back where you began.
good luck and take it easy be nice to yourself :))
Thank you so much!!
Hi Slimdusty and welcome to our lovely community.
Congratulations on making that first jump 2 days ago. I think thenunn (Jan) has answered your question. Re the headaches, it could be that you simply need to drink more water to cure that problem. As to whether it's worth it - I think you know that it really is in the long term so a few days of discomfort to make the rest of your life better is definitely worth it.
