Just a post to say i don’t have any wish to smoke and my sad and resentful times seem to be more manageable

I have started using the patches on alternate days now because i have a fear that i might run out one day and not be able to buy any, it seems to be working ok so far, has anyone else done it this way?

Hi willow. My stop smoking lady that I was seeing suggested to me to wear my patch on alternate days to cut down so you should be fine doing it this way. If you start wearing them every day again you may need to get a lower dosage one. I’d get some professional advice if you do. Xx

I couldn’t buy the next dose down, i see you are a week in front of me well done, i do have a bit of gum every so often but only one or two pieces a day

While they say NOT to cut in half (or thirds, etc.), I've been using them on and off for a few years, and it works to do so----and saves money. Also, try going a few days without. The first three are toughest, but then manageable.

Thanks, I’m doing alternate because i have about two and a half weeks left and i worry that i won’t be able to buy more but also because those times i feel so miserable about it all are less so now

Congratulations, no matter your method:) The key is to stick with it. My experience with patches is that up to a point, they are more of a psychological crutch. I have been playing 7 mg for a few years now! Since we've been forced to be home, I used this as an opportunity to wean off the nicotine entirely. I'm on Day 12 of no 7 mg, BUT I've done this for up to a month before, only to revert back to patch. Truth be told, it's MUCH better than smoking! Hang in there, and stay safe and well.
