Hi everyone, Have reached 4 weeks smoke free after 50+ years smoking. Still have the urge now and again but not as often. Also noticed I am sleeping for longer, don't know if that is normal, but then what is normal. Found it good to pop in and out this page and see what others were doing.

You've got through the hardest part now I think, but please be on your guard :) cos you never know when mr nic will strike :o

As you see, av been out and about and court you a nice shiny Winners Badge and I must say, it does suit you :) :)

Please keep popping on here and let us know how your doing Mary :) If you dont mind me asking, have you quit cold turkey or using some form of NRT ?

Take care now Mary :)

Thanks for the badge I will wear it with pride. I am using nrt patches (when I remember, some days I don't) also got the nicorette spray but didn't like that at all so obviously don't use it. What I really enjoy is being able to go out without thinking of taking ciggies with me or whether I will be able to find somewhere to smoke them.

Hi Mary :)

Yes the patches are very good, I've used them :) as for the nicorette spray, hmmm :o that used to give me hiccups :D :D but a very nice young Lady called Emjay advised me to spray a little on a finger and just rub it lightly into my top gums :) :)

hey prestoooooo, no hiccups :) :)

Hiya sleeping longer is same for me ... I used jump out of bed before the birds were singing and light a ciggie up now I literally have to peel my sleepy butt off the bed .. guess its our bodies returning to normality or we need the extra sleep as it heals I dunno but I can feel a power nap coming on lol xxx

Thanks Monky . I will keep focused I keep telling my self I can do this. And I do not need a fag. I gave up smoking last year did it for 3 weeks. But went right back on the fags. This time I am not going to do that. As I know it is not good for me.

Yes I will stay on this group as I know you have all be there. Or doing it at the same time as me. I know I can do it. Just some days I feel like having a fag. Then I think to my self if you do that. Then it will not be good for me. So I just puff on my e cigs and wait for it to go. I know it is going to be hard but I know I can do this. As I am doing it for my self. And no one else can do it for me. Only I can do this. And I am going to do it for me. :) xx
