Hi Fams,

Welcome to Quit Support :-)

We have quite a few members now who have used either Champix or the e-cig. If anyone has used them together, I'm sure they'll pop on and offer their story :-/ I've not heard of anybody yet though.

Can I just ask you a couple of questions so that I may be able help you further?

How long have you been using an e-cig for?

When was the last time you smoked a cigarette?

Are you receiving any help from your local stop smoking service to help you quit?

Have you tried to stop smoking before, if so - for how long and did you use anything then?

To be prescribed Champix, you will have to make an appointment with your GP to get your prescription. This is usually given to people providing that they receive the psychological support from somewhere such as their local stop smoking service.

I shall look into your query further and if I learn any more I will let you know :-)

I am using champix but not the e cig. Apart from days 2 and 3 it's not been too bad at all. I've now been stopped 19 days. I know the habit is as hard to break as the nicotine so thought if I used champix to curb the nicotine I could concentrate on breaking the habit. Hope this helps.

Hi ya Fams, a big welcome to this lovely quit support site :) :)

Now then, down to the nitty gritty :o I've used champix, and very good it is too, BUT, I cut it short :o and failed :( so Kazdon22, please please keep at it eh :) :)

Rite Fams, it sounds as you have got addicted to the e-cig !! yeah !! Erm, you dont give us much info about what type of e-cig you are using, or what strength it is !! But you do know you can get all strengths of nicotine, and you can get them in all different flavours, with no nicotine in them, so perhaps you should try to cut down on the nicotine ones gradually, and try a none nicotine one, and see how it goes eh :)

Fams, please please come back to us, and give us more info eh :) then we can perhaps help you more :)

Hope to speak soon, Pete :)
