At the beginning of Jan we were told that Mom had 72 hours. About Jan 21 she became totally non responsive. On Feb 2 I was by her side when she took her last breath. It was very peaceful. We laid her to rest Sat, Feb 9 with a beautiful service remembering her as most knew her.... beautiful, lively, loving...she will be dearly missed. I went back to the nursing home to check on her nurse and CNAs that were not there on the day that she passsed...lots of hugs and tearful eyes...they said it's different without Mom being there. I have had days of thinking of things that I need to do and found myself thinking how to fit it in to go to check on Mom. I am starting in a Griefshare class this week to help me. After losing my stepdad in March, my Dad in Oct, and my Mom this month, I know it will help me to walk through the process of grieving in a healthy way. I did not expect my journey with Mom to end this soon... but now she is in the arms of Jesus and totally healed.

We said goodbye to Mom
Dear blessedcaregiver,
I am so sorry to read that you have had to say goodbye for now to your Mum. The griefshare class sounds like it will be really helpful after what must have been an incredibly difficult year. I pray that you will know comfort and the reality of Psalm 23 "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for You are with me. Your rod and staff comfort me."
God bless you

I just left a message without reading the responses and I am glad to know that you have faith. That will be what gets you through this! I also sorry you have lost your Mom.
BCGLA, We will be thinking of you as you go through the process. It is tough to loose parents and siblings. Stay strong and remember to care for yourself in special ways. Your Mom would want that.
i am so sorry for your loss. Just lost my Dad, December 8th and I know how hard it is to walk through this. You have had a year that breaks my heart. I hope you find some peace in knowing that your Mom is no longer suffering from this horrible disease. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs
