The Dublin Support Group will take place on Tuesday 6th November 2012 from 12.00 hours to 14.00 hours in Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Centre for Nurse Education, Ground Floor, Classroom 4. Nelson Street, Dublin 7 (opposite Eccles Street entrance to Hospital).
We would like local groups to be able to decide what they want from their meetings, be in full control of how frequently they meet and what activities and speakers they would like to have at meetings. Following this, at the March meeting, four members volunteered to form a committee to help to organise and run these meetings – they are Barra O’Briain, Caroline Dooley Martyn, Jim Logue and Liam Mulready.
These changes will not affect the primary aim of the Support Group and they will continue to offer people affected by PSP and CBD, their families, friends and carers the opportunity to meet, give support as well as chatting informally and making new friends over a cup of tea.
The Dublin Support Group is open to all, whether you are affected by PSP/CBD now, are a past carer, want to raise funds and awareness or want to lend a hand to the Group. So please join the Group and set the scene for future meetings. The November meeting has been arranged by the volunteer committee and will be attended by Brian Magennis PSP/CBD Nurse Specialist at the Dublin Neurological Institute.
We hope you can attend the Support Group Meeting and look forward to hearing from you.
