The North East Support Group had a very positive and useful meeting in Stannington, Northumberland (stanningtonvillagehall.co.uk/) on Monday 3rd October, with great attendance, and lots of shared knowledge and experiences.
As I think others are finding in the PSP Community, this Community Blog will be a great way to keep in touch and get to know each other better, as well as sharing and supporting.
Although we live the closest to the venue, we were actually the last to arrive at the meeting and we missed the introductions! We would like to hear from anyone who attended the meeting (and of course, anyone else).
All the best,
Fran and Tim Rawsthorne, daughter and son-in-law of patient Alan Wilson and carer Ann Wilson

That's really good to hear. Thank you for sharing it with everyone on Health Unlocked. Support Groups provide an opportunity for people to meet up and share experiences, knowledge and also lessen the isolation that can be felt.
The Support Group network is expanding and we'd be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to help us set up groups in other areas or would be interested in being involved in helping to run existing groups to enable them to take place more frequently. We will provide as much support as possible in both instances.
I unfortunately can't make it as Stannington is just a bit too far to drive for an evening. And I feel like I'm leaving Mum a lot at the moment as I have classes 2 evenings a week. But one day i might get there!
