I've found Glycopyrronium Bromide clears up excess saliva production for my wife really well. Was advised away from Atropine eye drops (not licensed for saliva) as can cause confusion.2ml twice a day for Glyco did the job.

Hi Ghent
I am most interested in reading about your wife's experience with Glycopyrronium Bromide.
I have done a little research into it and find in Australia a prescription is required. I also note that it comes in tablet or liquid form. How does your wife take it? Could you please advise me where you live as this will help tell me whether or not I can by it in Australia.
I have PSP and have had it for some 8 years and in the last 18 months or so I have instances of excess saliva so much so it is becoming increasingly difficult to speak. I have tried Botox without any success.
Thank you for your time

Hello Lara,My wife takes in liquid form, 2ml twice per day which is quite a low dose. Start low and increase until find works well.
We are in UK, and is available on prescription. The Neurologist prescribed it. Atropine can cause confusion and some GP's will not prescribe as it is licensed for eye drop use only.
