My wife does not yet have a problem of excess saliva but does have the issue of thick saliva. We've stopped the milk products because they can cause saliva to thicken. Does anyone have suggestions to combat thick saliva (not excess saliva we know what to do for that). Thanks in advance for your help.
Hugs, Jimbo

I give my husband pineapple juice which does seem to help thin saliva a bit. I am eagerly awaiting other replies to your post as well, hoping there may be something even better.
We use pineapple juice and dark grape juice, which my husband particularly enjoys with his evening meal, it is a bit on the sweet side, but it gives the illusion of a nice glass of red wine!
But ironically just plain old cold tap water does the trick also, and it's free - well up to a point.
I hope you find something that works because it is another thing that makes life harder for the patient.
hi jumbo well mate ive always said use dark grape juice that's what usually gets rid of mine but if your wife is a diabetic read content first hope this does some good for her, its worth a try and it is quite reasonably priced if she doesn't like it, you can always hop into yourself, its quite a nice drink peter jones queensland Australia psp sufferer
